Hi There!

I’m Patrice, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Towson University. I’m passionate about helping people discover their best selves through a holistic approach to therapy. My goal is to empower you to unlock your inner strengths, build resilience, and tap into the motivation needed for personal growth.

I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, including adolescents and adults facing challenges like stress, anxiety, and depression. I’m particularly fascinated by the mind-body connection and how mental health can impact us physically. That’s why I focus on not just improving your mindset but also helping you develop physical awareness and movement to improve your overall well-being.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way. I use a variety of approaches, from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to Somatic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to name a few—whatever works best for you. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where we can explore what’s working in your life and what areas need healing, all while respecting your unique cultural background and individual experiences.

I’m here to meet you exactly where you are and help you move forward with the skills and confidence to thrive. If you ever have any questions about how I can support you on your journey, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m excited to help you create the positive change you’re looking for.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my family, friends, and my pets. I find peace in walking my dogs, using that time to reflect on the day and practice gratitude. Outside of therapy, I’m also a fan of baking, traveling, and coloring—activities that bring me joy and allow me to recharge.

My Story

I often say that becoming a therapist is my second career, but in many ways, it feels like the only career I was meant to pursue. For over 20 years, I worked in the accounting field, hopping from one job to the next, searching for something that would bring me fulfillment and purpose. But no matter how successful I became on paper, something always felt missing. I reached a point where I realized that no amount of numbers or spreadsheets could give me the deep sense of satisfaction I craved.

It was during this time of soul searching that I came to an important realization: I wanted to help people. I had seen several family members struggle with mental health challenges, and I noticed that they often hesitated to seek help due to a deep mistrust of the healthcare system. They longed for someone who could truly understand them—someone who could listen without judgment, who could meet them where they were and support their journey toward healing.

This realization was the turning point for me. I made the decision to leave my stable career in accounting and go back to school to earn my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. It wasn’t an easy choice. Leaving behind a well-established career and stepping into the unknown required a leap of faith, but it was a leap I felt I had to take. Every challenge along the way has been worth it, knowing that my work as a therapist allows me to help others heal and grow in a way that is deeply meaningful.

As I look back on this journey, I see that becoming a therapist is not just a job for me—it’s a calling. I believe that therapy is a partnership between therapist and client, one that is built on trust, respect, and a shared commitment to growth. I understand what it feels like to search for meaning, to struggle with self-doubt, and to yearn for guidance. My mission as a therapist is to help others feel seen, heard, and understood, and to change the narrative that keeps them from seeking the help they deserve.

I take a holistic, eclectic approach to therapy, believing that mental and physical well-being are inextricably linked. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution because each person’s journey is unique. My approach draws on various therapeutic techniques and modalities, tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. Above all, I view therapy as a lifelong learning process, both for my clients and for myself. As I grow and evolve in my practice, I strive to bring that same openness to my clients—to help them discover their own potential for healing and growth.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside others on their journey to well-being. It’s a privilege to be part of their stories and to help them realize that they are not alone.
